Thank you for your interest in TRIO Student Support Services program! TRIO SSS is a federally funded program. Our goal is to offer the support necessary to empower students to succeed and achieve their personal and academic goals. We do this by providing comprehensive academic support and a caring community that provides a sense of place at FVCC.Â
Eligibility
There are a few basic requirements to join TRIO Student Support Services (SSS), You must be:
- A US citizen or permanent residentÂ
- Be seeking to earn a degree or certificate at FVCCÂ
Additionally, students qualify for TRIO by meeting at least one of the following criteria:
- Be a first generation college students (neither parent or guardian has earned a 4-year college degree, OR
- Income eligible based on federal guidelines, OR
- Would qualify for accommodations through Disability Student Support Services (disclosure of a disability is voluntary and confidential)
Getting Started
Please complete all parts of this application to the best of your ability. You cannot save and restart this application. Once your application is complete, we will contact you within 2-5 business days. We may need additional documentation to determine eligibility.Â

What to Expect:
To support your success, you will connect with your TRIO Advisor a minimum of 2 times a semester and seek out your TRIO Advisor should you have concerns or difficulties throughout your FVCC journey.
TRIO staff will be available to students by appointment (in-person, by phone, or virtual) and on a walk-in basis, to guide you to essential information and resources. Your TRIO Advisor will collaborate with you to build a personalized success plan and serve as your advocate. We are invested in your success and stay connected while you are at FVCC to provide resources when needed.Â
